An empowered life begins with our belief structure. Our ability to enjoy life to the fullest is determined by whether we are living our lives within the architecture of our minds. If you are happy and satisfied with the life you are living, then your model of the world has been built upon a firm foundation which is based upon fulfilling each of the six human needs in a positive manner.Beliefs Create Reality

Human Needs Psychology teaches us that all human beings must fulfill the needs for Certainty, Variety, Significance, Love / Connection, Growth and Contribution in order to enjoy a balanced life. When each of these needs is not being met in positive ways, our lives feel out of balance and we feel unfulfilled. The good news is that if you are not currently meeting all six of your human needs on a regular basis in positive ways, you may begin to do so instantly merely by becoming aware of their importance.

Take a moment to consider the variety of emotions that you feel throughout the day. Do you frequently experience Happiness? Elation? Joy? Excitement? Or do you suffer from Anxiety? Disappointment? Depression? Anger? Or Rage? The emotions Happiness, Elation, Joy and Excitement are good indicators that you are living a life which is meeting your needs in positive ways. However if you frequently experience negative emotions, then you must find new ways to feel satisfied and fulfill your needs.

The next time you experience an emotion or behavior, regardless of whether you think of it as a positive or negative occurrence, consider which of the six human needs you are fulfilling at the moment. For instance, when you interact with co-workers, do you do so from the perspective of a person trying to establish a better Connection? From the perspective of somebody who is trying to Contribute? Or as a person who is trying to gain Significance? Understand that there is no right or wrong answer to these questions, because the answer for each of us depends on the manner in which we decide to fulfill each of our human needs. The importance in determining how to positively fulfill each of our six human needs, is that establishing the manner in which those needs may be met in a positive way, enables us to live better lives within the structure of our individual belief system.
