30 day challengeI have a question to ask you, what is life about? Is it really about spending 8 – 16 hours per day, confined to a tiny cubicle, slaving away in an office, making somebody else rich, while you mark off the days until the weekend, or your next two week vacation? What if there was a better way? This is an open invitation to change your life forever and actually live the life which you dream about, a life filled with opportunity.

Why You Should Listen to Me:

I’m going to let you in on a little secret, I don’t talk about it a lot, because it tends to tick a lot of people off, but I don’t actually work for a living, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. For instance, I woke up this morning without being startled awake by the blaring sound of an annoying alarm clock. I made myself a smoothie, made of unsweetened almond milk, a little peanut butter, a little raw honey, and a bunch of fresh fruit.

Then I poured that in a to-go cup, and went for a 7 mile walk with my German shepherd dog Duscha. I have several places where I like to walk with my dog, sometimes I walk the trail which runs along the creek, other days I walk a trail which runs along the hilltops which surround the town, and other days we drive out to the coast and walk along the beach. Today we walked along the creek, it took us about two hours.

Then I sat down for a couple of hours to answer email, write a blog post, and review the commissions which I’d earned overnight. After that, I went to lunch, ran a couple of errands, worked out, and answered a few more email messages. I actually spent more time writing this blog post, which won’t earn me a dime, than I spent working today.

And I’m not independently wealthy:

I am able to live the lifestyle which I enjoy, because I changed the way that I conduct my business. Over the next few days and weeks, I’m going to share some of the strategies and insights which I used to transform the knowledge which I’d gained during the 25+ years that I was employed as a diamond buyer, into The Nice Ice Blog, which provides consumers with free diamond buying education and advice.

The Suitcase Entrepreneur Book by Natalie SissonBut today, I want to introduce you to Natalie Sisson, who is the author of The Suitcase Entrepreneur, because she’s been a mentor, and an inspiration for me during the conversion of my business from a successful Click & Mortar Jewelry Store, to a blog that doesn’t actually sell anything, but which provides free diamond buying advice, which pays the bills, and allows me to enjoy a lifestyle filled with incredible opportunities to travel, and connect with people on an amazing level.

I’ve followed Natalie’s blog for about two years, but had the pleasure of meeting her in-person at the pre-launch book party which she held in San Francisco last month!

P.S. Thanks for the invite Natalie 😉

Today Natalie sent an invitation out to everybody who attended the pre-launch party for her book, and her regular followers, to join her 30 Day Blog Challenge, during which Natalie intends to teach you how to build a blueprint for building your own successful online business, and a lifestyle which you love! All you have to do is follow along, and complete the steps which she outlines on her blog, for the next 30 days!

Even though my Nice Ice Diamonds Blog, is coming along nicely, I’m going to participate in Natalie’s 30 Day Blog Challenge, because I’m sure that I’ll learn something amazing… so today’s challenge is:

Write a post on why you started your blog, who you wanted to reach, what you wanted it to be all about. Then state why you joined this blog challenge and what you want to get out of it.

All right, hopefully by now, you’ve figured out that I have two blogs, the one for my coaching business, which you are reading, and the one for my diamond business. Clearly they serve different purposes, but this is the one which I’m really passionate about because it enables me to help people better their lives, beyond my ability to meet with people one-on-one.

So I’m going to focus on why I started this blog, which I’ve kind of answered, it provides me with a platform to reach people all over the world, beyond my capability to reach with people one at a time, and at any time of the day or night, when they might benefit from my experience and insight the most.

You see, a lot of the people who I coach are suffering from the loss of a friend or loved one to suicide, quite often it is late at night when they are spinning, and looking for answers.

Now I also wanted to grow my paying clientele, and develop a following, and an audience, who might be interested in buying the book which I am writing on personal development, and a coaching program which I am working on with four other Strategic Intervention Coaches, which focuses on helping women overcome the challenges which they face in relationships and Dating Mr. Unavailable. Speaking of which, register now for our Free Signature Talk which takes place on Sunday, August 18th at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

I’ve learned so much by reading Natalie’s blog posts over the past few years, and by reading her book, The Suitcase Entrepreneur, that I just know that I’m going to learn a lot by following the advice and guidance that she’s going to provide during this 30 Day Blog Challenge!

I hope you’ll join me and the other people who I know are participating in this event! I’ve met a lot of them, and there is a lot that you can learn from our collective experience, as people who are living the dream, operating their businesses online and celebrating the freedom of choice which comes with doing so!
